Setup Tips (So Outdoor Plugs Keep Working)

Use 2.4 GHz only: Most outdoor plugs don’t support 5 GHz; make sure your SSID splits bands.
Extend Wi-Fi outdoors: Consider a weather-safe AP or a mesh node by the patio for better signal.
Create automations: Sunset/sunrise schedules save time and avoid manual toggling.
Protect the outlet: Use “in-use” covers and keep devices off the ground to prevent pooling water.
